Occasional 4 - re-sewing the sliced blocks

First of all: THANKS for all your wonderful comments !!! You got me thinking ... everyone opted for V3, turning the middle strip and sewing it back in. Well - I did not do this. Why ? First is  the picture of V3 again:

And here are my reasons why I decided against it:

• it would not have solved the big orange center rectangle problem
• I did not like how the outside lines of the big orange center looked
• I wanted to add a bit "more" to these biggies

 Zunächst mal - DANKE für all die wunderbaren Kommentare !! Ich wurde echt nachdenklich ... alle plädieren für die 3. Variante, also den Mittelstreifen drehen und wieder einnähen. Kurz und gut - das habe ich nicht gemacht ... Warum nicht ??? Oben siehst du das Bild der 3. Variante nochmal.

Und hier sind meine Gründe, warum ich mich dagegen entschieden habe:

• damit wäre das große dominante orangene Mittelrechteck immer noch da
• mir gefallen die sich dann ergebenden äußeren Linien des orangenen Rechtecks nicht (empfinde ich als zerfleddert)
• irgendwie wollte ich "mehr" mit diesen recht großen Blöcken anstellen ...

So, what to do? I added small strips of striped fabrics - but with the first two cuts (the ones I showed you yesterday), I set the middle strip off a bit. Unfortunately I did not take a picture of the blocks with only the first two strips sewn in ... well, they were boring (and one was downright awful, because the offset was way too much). To fix this, I cut the blocks again in the other direction and added another strip. Now - they look fine to me ;-))

Also, was tun? ich habe mich für das Einsetzen von schmalen gestreiften Stoffstreifen entschieden - aber ich habe das neu einzusetzende Teil dann bewußt versetzt wieder eingenäht. Und weil ich schlicht gepennt habe, gibt's davon keine Fotos - sorry! So gefielen mir die Blöcke aber nicht - zu langweilig ... (Überraschung, gell?). Also, nochmal in der anderen Richtung durchschneiden, und dann wieder einen Streifen einnähen. Jetzt gefallen mir meine Blöcke ;-))
