Occasional 4 - a finished top !

Yes - the second of the three quilts I planned here is now a finished top! I worked on it in this orientation:

Not bad. But ... not perfect. How about the other way round?

Well - still not exciting. So, how about switching from portrait to landscape?

Better. But I think - the other way round would be even better !
Schon besser.
This is it - Occasional 4 !!
Yes. This last picture shows the orientation I like best. Of course, this might change when I start quilting it ;-))
Ja.

I'm sorry !! I totally forgot to link back to Nina Marie - please, jump over to "Off the wall friday" and have some fun with inspiring textile art!

This is a great quilt, no matter which way it is displayed.

I love how this quilt turned out. I also enjoy watching your process. It gives me more confidence to try putting things together that I wouldn't have normally considered.

I'm with Sylvia...but I think it is in the eye of the beholder...or perhaps the future owner! Maybe 4 sleeves would be in order. I also agree with you, you may have a definite idea after you quilt it...quilting can really change a piece! Looking forward to seeing it with that final layer of texture.

I've just spent a lovely 20 minutes catching up with you. Congratulations on being picked for the Bernina cube project. Occassionals are all looking great, and Otters are looking very exiting! Great stuff!

I love the colors here, and also agree that Orientation 4 is delightful, but after you quilt it, you may have to try all four again to see if you still agree with yourself. Having just painted a bedroom orange, this quilt would with its blue accents would be a perfect accessory! Love it!
